And it does see and I was able to set the workgroup to although I suspect that may not be necessary. I was able to set up the Weather properly and view some of the Google clips, etc. (Which, of course, means it connected to my network properly, etc.) (Eventually that will be replaced with the wireless USB adapter - I hope.) Found where to check for updates and updated to the latest firmware. (At this point I have NOT added any extensions, plug-ins or whatever - it is "bare bones"to get it started.) I pulled a long Cat5 cable across the floors (temporary) and fired up the HD200. I installed the WHS software from on my EX475. Obviously I am missing a major ingredient in all this tho. My Sage HD200 arrived yesterday and I installed things today.
It is not perfect but will do until SMM comes along. Once that file is there I can now get the synopsis by selecting video details. Late last night I discovered that My Movies has an option to put a Sage Properties file for a given video in that videos folder. I have not changed my JAVA heap size but will do so. Unfortunately I cannot give more details yet but it is very promising and may take care of a lot of the issues we are discussing above
You can attempt to install BMI on your server, I got it to work on my PC but just wasn't a fan of the amount of steps/apps that were needed to be installed, and it never quite worked for me.Īs for SMM, it is a new Media Manager stv being worked on by PluckyHD (the guy who created Sage Movie Wall). You would be fine with folder.jpg in each movie folder but after that unfortunately any metadata/fanart created by YAMMM or other metadata programs won't work. If you have 2GB or more of RAM and have multiple extenders or if you have some plugins, addons, or STVi's installed for SageTV, you might even want to take it up to 768 or even 1024. Assuming you have at least 1GB of RAM in the server, set the Java Heap Size to at least 512.
